The Freetown Massachusetts recycling yard located in the village of Assonet was constructed in 2015/2016 and came online in the fall of 2016. This facility features a state of the art plant for handling light iron and auto scrap metal in the most efficient and environmentally friendly manner on the east coast of the United States. Being equidistant from Providence and Boston and less than a mile off of Rte 24 this location is the most convenient site with the quickest turnaround available in eastern Massachusetts.  This yard currently accepts all light iron and auto scrap materials and some non-ferrous scrap metal.
